About

At Concerted Action, we believe in organizing.

Concerted Action helps labor unions, grassroots coalitions, and progressive organizations use digital tools to organize more effectively, grow their base, and win real-world change. We specialize in the deployment and customization of CRMs like Action Builder and Action Network, offering both strategic consulting and hands-on technical support. Our work bridges the gap between digital systems and the realities of day-to-day organizing.

Founded by longtime labor organizer and technologist Christian Norton, Concerted Action brings together decades of experience in field organizing, communications, digital strategy, and data infrastructure for campaigns. We don’t just implement tools — we build systems that work for the organizers and workers who rely on them.

We have led digital transformation projects for major national unions including the AFL-CIO, CWA, and AFSCME; partnered with economic justice–focused nonprofits like the Poor People’s Campaign, Jobs With Justice, and the Chinese Progressive Association; and supported high-profile breakthrough organizing campaigns such as the Minor League Players Association, Starbucks Workers United, and multiple Amazon labor efforts. From campaign launches to CRM migrations, Concerted Action helps organizations recruit supporters, mobilize workers, and scale their programs using integrated digital tools and smart data systems.

Our approach combines movement-rooted values with fast, flexible technical execution. Whether launching a new organizing drive, migrating to a modern CRM, or troubleshooting a complex integration, we help organizers and campaign leaders get more done using the most effective digital tools in the movement.

Christian Norton

Founder and CEO

Christian Norton is the founder and CEO of Concerted Action. For more than two decades, he has worked at the intersection of organizing, technology, and communications—building digital infrastructure for campaigns, unions, and movement organizations.

Christian began developing websites professionally in the late 1990s and has spent his entire career in roles that blend technical expertise with organizing strategy. After working in progressive fundraising and tech support roles through college, he joined Campaign for Americas Future, a national progressive organization in 2005, supporting their communications and digital tools. He later worked at Salsa Labs, one of the early leaders in progressive CRM technology, where he deepened his experience with movement tech platforms.

He spent nearly a decade at Working America, the community affiliate of the AFL-CIO, where he helped lead the organization’s digital transformation. Starting in a digital organizing role and eventually serving as Communications Director, Christian helped scale programs for national issue campaigns, member engagement, and online-to-offline organizing. His work there bridged the gap between field strategy and technical execution, equipping organizers with tools that drove real-world action.

Since founding Concerted Action in 2015, Christian has supported dozens of labor and advocacy organizations with digital strategy, CRM implementation, and campaign technology—from local unions and grassroots coalitions to major federations and national movements.
